What a dynamic world we live in, by Jove. Earlier this year I discovered the incredible Geni thanks to TC. It looked like a sure global winner for all things connected to family trees. It's so intuitive that I got all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their in-laws to enter their data on the site. I now have a family tree of 1196 members, and I only had to do the first 10 of those thanks to its collaborative and social networking functionality. And now TechCrunch are already reporting that Geni is losing terrain with respect to German competition.
